Colorado’s 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is committed to providing comparable access to everyone who visits our site. 

Our ongoing accessibility efforts align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Level AA criteria. These guidelines not only ensure technology accessibility for users with sensory, cognitive, and mobility disabilities but also enhance usability for all individuals, regardless of ability.


The District Attorney’s Office is actively involved in continuous endeavors to guarantee that its website and digital content are accessible to individuals with disabilities, adhering to the regulations set forth by the Colorado Office of Information Technology rulemaking.

Accommodations or modifications will be available for people unable to access complex content, or archive content that was created in another format and later digitized or classified as not in active use according to the State of Colorado’s definition of “Active Use” in 8 CCR 1501-11 Technology Accessibility Rules.


To request reasonable accommodations or modifications or to report inaccessible information and communication technology (ICT), please fill out the below form called, “Request a Reasonable Accommodation or Modification or Report Inaccessible ICT”. Should the below form not be preferred, please send the request to daopio@da4colorado.gov with the following information. 

Information needed in an email request or report:

  • First and last name of the person making the request or report
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Date of Issue
  • The site, page, document, or application you are having issues with or for which you are requesting reasonable accommodations or modifications
  • A description of the barrier in detail as well as details about your devices and any assistive technology you may be using. Do not enter personal information such as account numbers, passwords, or payment information.


Other methods for submitting a request or report, like in-person interviews or recording the request or reported issue through a recording device or digital medium, will be accommodated upon request for individuals with disabilities. While personal information is necessary for properly documenting and addressing the request or reported issue submitted, all such details will be kept strictly confidential, except as mandated by the Colorado Open Records Act.


Within 15 calendar days after receipt of the request or reported issue, the District Attorney’s Office Information Technology Department will contact the person initiating the request or reported issue for a meeting to discuss the submitted information and possible resolutions. Within 30 calendar days of the meeting, the District Attorney’s Office Information Technology Department will respond in writing, and where appropriate, in a format accessible to the person submitting the request or a reported issue. The response will explain the position of the District Attorney’s Office and offer options for substantive resolution.


If the response by the District Attorney’s Office does not satisfactorily resolve the issue, the person making the request/report and/or his/her designee may appeal the decision within 30 calendar days after receipt of the response to the District Attorney’s Office or their designee.

Within 15 calendar days after receipt of the appeal, the designee of the District Attorney’s Office will meet with the person making the request/report to discuss the submitted information and possible resolutions. Within 30 calendar days after the meeting, the designee of the District Attorney’s Office will respond in writing, and, where appropriate, in a format accessible to the person initiating the request or reported issue, with a final resolution.
